Japanese Karate-Do Traditional
Shotokan Karate Association was established in 1996. We are a karate
school (dojo), dedicated to the study of Traditional Japanese Karate
Association (JKA) Shotokan Karate. The chief instructor, Sensei Sonny
Kim, has trained in Shotokan Karate since 1977. Sensei Kim is enthusiastic
about passing on the art of Traditional Shotokan Karate-do to anyone
who is willing to dedicate themselves to train and study.
The Japanese Karate-Do
takes pride in providing a family friendly atmosphere, offering classes
for adults, teens and children. “Everyone helps and supports
each other and new students are always made to feel welcome.”
We welcome anyone who wants
to learn Karate, from beginners to those who wish to improve and develop
their current skills to a much higher level. If you want become physically
fit and gain an overall sense of physical, mental and emotional well
being, you owe it to yourself to look into Japanese Karate-Do.
Our dojo on Montgomery
Rd. in Cincinnati, Ohio, features a matted 2,000 square foot training
area, specifically designed to minimize shock and absorb high impact
on bones and joints. We also have a second training area with a traditional
makiwara, a heavy bag and mirrors. There’s a large viewing area
available for guests and family members who want to observe classes.
